Under the regulations of the Capital Markets Board of Turkiye (SPK), all Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) are required to ensure that their users have a registry number with the Central Securities Depository of Turkiye (MKK). For this reason, Rain will handle the inquiry and registry process with MKK on your behalf.
If you already have an MKK Registry Number, this will be retrieved and shared with us. If you do not, MKK will automatically create a new Registry Number for you and notify you via SMS once the process is complete.
This process exists solely to comply with official regulatory requirements. It does not affect your Rain accounts, crypto assets, or trading experience in any way.

What is MKK?
The Central Securities Depository of Turkiye (MKK) is the official institution that records capital market instruments in Turkiye (such as stocks and investment funds) and maintains investor registries.
Why is an MKK Registry Number being created?
As of March 13, 2025, SPK regulations require all VASP users in Turkiye to have an MKK Registry Number.
What will happen during this process?
Through Rain’s integration with MKK:
If you already have an MKK Registry Number, it will be retrieved and shared with us.
If you do not, MKK will automatically create one for you. In this case, MKK will send you an SMS notification confirming that your new Registry Number has been created. This SMS is informational only and does not affect your Rain account in any way.
What does the SMS mean?
The SMS is simply a notification from MKK informing you that a new Registry Number has been created on your behalf. There will be no changes to your accounts, assets, or trading activities.
Do I need to do anything?
No. Your MKK Registry Number will be created automatically. You do not need to apply or take any action.
Will my crypto assets be affected?
No. Your deposits, withdrawals, and trading activities will continue as usual. Your assets remain safe with Rain.
Is there any cost for this process?
No. The creation of your Registry Number is free of charge.

You can view your Registry Number by logging into the e-MKK Information Portal (eyatirimci.mkk.com.tr). You can also contact the AloMKK Investor Call Center at 444 0 655.
Is my MKK Registry Number valid on other platforms as well?
Yes. Once created, your MKK Registry Number is valid across other financial platforms in Turkiye.
