Common account verification issues

Account verification can sometimes fail due to a few specific reasons. The following guide helps you identify these issues and provides the steps to resolve them efficiently.

Identity verification issues

The most common reason for rejection is poor image quality, such as glare or blurriness. To fix this, please use your phone’s camera to take a clear picture of the original ID. We cannot accept expired documents, scanned documents, or digital copies.

Additionally, ensure you are using the correct document type. GCC citizens may use their passport or their national ID, while GCC residents must submit both a valid passport and a residency card.

Selfie verification errors

If your selfie verification fails, it is often due to lighting or camera positioning. Please ensure you are in a well-lit area and your camera lens is clean. Follow the on-screen instructions precisely to capture your face correctly.

Proof of address document rejection

Verification often fails here because the document does not clearly display the necessary details. Ensure that both your full name and residential address are clearly visible and match the details submitted for your Rain account. Please submit an official document, such as a recent utility bill, landline bill, bank statement, valid tenancy contract, or any other government-issued document. You can read more about the accepted forms of proof here.

What to do next

If your account verification is unsuccessful, please double-check your documents against the requirements above and resubmit them using higher-quality images. If your status remains pending for more than 24 hours, please contact support for assistance.
